Wellbeing & Trauma
Caring for the unseen, as well as the seen
Healing doesn’t happen in parts; it begins when we make space for the whole story.
Many women carry quiet experiences of birth trauma, loss or the constant pressure to hold everything together. These moments don’t just live in the body — they touch the mind and the heart too.
My approach to wellbeing and trauma care recognises that healing isn’t linear, and it can’t be separated from emotional and mental health. It’s about creating space for rest, reflection and reconnection with your body, your emotions and your sense of self.
As a doctor and a woman of colour in medicine, I’ve seen how the pressures within healthcare can quietly build. The long hours, expectations and emotional load have taught me that true wellbeing must include those who give care as well as those who receive it.
This is something I feel called to explore further — how we can heal not just as patients or practitioners, but as people. How we can nurture the mind, body and the quieter parts of ourselves that allow us to keep showing up for others.
Watch this space.
